
GLADYS IS FIRED by UNIVERSAL STUDIOS during the latter part of 1923 based on Hollywood's new "Morals Clause" because of her relationship with Al Capone!
You will note that no movies were released in 1924. Universal declined to renew her contract when the rumors started flying about her dating Al Capone. The movies released thereafter were all made by East Coast Studios. She sacrificed her career ~ trading it for her exciting ten-year love affair with Al Capone.
