John searches for the tunnels!
John's mother frequently talked about Capone's tunnels below Two Bunch Palms and with the permission of the owners of Two Bunch Palms Resort, John hired a specialist to search for them.
CBS news covered John's search and featured it on the Valley's local News Station.
Wayne Good of Accurate Locators, Inc. was hired to search for Capone's tunnels.
It appears that a large opening in one of the guest-cottage walls was walled-in with stone and cement, suggesting a blocked access perhaps, but access to what?
Using the Underground Imager System, Wayne found two possible tunnels leading from the Capone cottage. One tunnel heads to the Grotto and the other to the Casino.
Using a pulse induction locator, an anomaly was detected consisting of a large space, possibly a small room, under the patio of the Capone cottage that requires further investigation. The Pulse detection indicated a very loud metal reading What could it be?
Wayne's equipment proved the existance of Capone's tunnels, confirming his mother's stories and the evidence has inflamed his curiousity. Now, he really wants to see what's behind the walls that bring sidewalk paths to an abrupt halt. He wants to know what large metal object lies below ground.
Although the owners of Two Bunch Palms share his curiousity, they express concern about probing further. Concerned that further exploration might undermine the existing bungalows and that many might be blocked by the large, very old Tamarisk trees that Capone originally planted in the compound.
John understands . . . but . . . just what the heck is that large metalic object buried by Capone's bungalow?
